Each week the Water Master goes to pump house and performs a maintenance check of the operation and
booster pump readrngs, tlow meter readrngs, checks secunty ot tlle grounds, llghts are m worklng order,
an overview of the site. I hour per week, 4 hours per monttr, 48 hours per year

If a coliform sample is not good the required DEQ process requires 5 samples taken from different
locations of the community and flushing done of the system. This is approximately 5-6 hours to right the
bad sample. These hours do not include the Admin notifuing each customer twice, once to boil water and
once to no longer have to boll water
Each year a nitrate sample is taken and turned into Accurate testing Labs. I hour per year.

Emergency on call 2417,356 days of the year, called out on holidays, the middle of the night, and the
mlddle ot the day dunng hrs other tull trme 1ob. I hrs also lncludes emergency repars and non-emergency
repairs to fire hydrants and works with the local Fire Deparfrnent during testing of Diamond Bar Water
hydrants.

Every spring and fall the irrigation meters are to be turned on and tumed off. Each occurrence takes a 6-8
hour day because the turn on valve is 4 to 6 feet in the ground. If the turn on spigot gets damaged by
others (Landscapers and Spnnkler Uo) then drg up and reparrs need to be done. I tus event actuauy
happened in the fall of 2015 so repairs were required. Hours per ye:r 12-16 hours turn on and turn off.

The Emergency duties are supposed to be compensated above the $475lmo. Certified Water Master Fee,
however, no compensatlon has been grven tor emergency calls/dutles due to lack ot funds. Mr Kob
