In discussions with Commission Staff, an implementation date of July 1, 2010 was advanced; howev~r, Silver Star is in the middle of a complete system conversion which is scheduled to be substantially complete onJuly 1. Once deployed the system wil create internal and external efficiencies, allowlng$ilv~rStaremployees to deliver proactive solutions and services to customers. The system is a fully integrated telecom system that combines all major business functions into a single, easy.to-use interface. for example: theextent of hand.entered billing errors wil be eliminated, since the system data programmed with pre-determined selections and the available products and services are automatically populated based on serving area andothercnteria; and, technicians out In the field wil be able to download service orders and trouble tickets to theiron.ooard laptops and then sync the orders immediately after completing the work. This conversion mayor may not disrupt customer biling notices and in an effort to create as Iìttle disruption and confusion as possible, Silver Star deems it in the best interest of its customers to implement the cost increase required by Order No. 30951 on September 1, 2010.
