Something that is available with minimal cost or little effort to the consumer 2. Fast food, grocery store, sports stores, department stores 3. Available at only certain times. No guarantee that it is available. 4. Sometimes, every once in a while, maybe available 5. Product available at seller’s interest 6. Available in my town 7. Available within a short period of time without great inconvenience 8. It’s available good enough 9. Easy to find and get. Easy to obtain. Don’t have to travel and search for. 10. I could find it if I tried hard enough. I shouldn’t have to go far or wait a long time. 11. Meaning this product can be found, let’s say 90% of the time but can’t be available whenever needed. Competitively Priced General question: “If a product or service where you live was competitively priced, what does that mean to you?” 1. Low priced 2. Most of the above (stores) mentioned are competitive on a national level. Most are chains or nationally spread. 3. Competes with prices with other markets in the same industry. 4. Priced very close or a little lower than other companies. 5. Price is lower than competitors. 6. Very similar prices to competitors. 7. By comparing quality and service the prices are within an acceptable range. 8. Product or service priced at or below direct competitors’ prices. 9. The prices and benefits are in the same range dollar wise. 10. If I measure benefits less costs and the price is close to a competitor, it is competitively priced. 11. Same product sold at different markets for pretty much the same price-maybe off by a few cents. Functionally Equivalent General question: “If two products or services were functionally equivalent, what does that mean to you?” Responses: 1. Has comparable technology to higher priced items. 2. Jack in the Box-Burger King, Albertsons—Johns Market 3. Works the same. Gets the same job done just as good as the competitor. 4. Works the same. 5. Functions as other competitors. 6. Maybe not exactly the same product but is just as good and performs the same function. 7. Provides the same or equal service even if delivered in a different way. 8. It has the same functions as the other product of same kind. 9. The work the same or complete a task in the same manner. 10. Will do what is expected of it as well as another product can do it. 2 11.
