SUBJECT:PIC CHANGE CHARGE - AMENDED ORDER - CASE NO. GNR- T -05-
On June 20, 2005 , the Idaho Public Utilities Commission (Commission) issued Order
No. 29806, stating that the intrastate/intraLA T A primary interexchange carrier (LPIC) change
charge shall coincide with the FCC's presubscribed interexchange carrier (PIC) change charge
safe harbor pricing structure. Order No. 29806 at 4. The Order stated
, "
all incumbent local
exchange carriers shall file the appropriate changes in their Idaho tariffs to become effective at
the same time as the changes that they must file in their federal tariffs, no later than October 17
2005.Id.
At the time the Commission released Order No. 29806, the federal tariff filings were
due by October 17, 2005. However, in response to emergency petitions filed by Verizon and
SBC Communications, on October 14, 2005 , the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
extended the previously established October 17 2005 , deadline for the filing of federal tariffs.
On October 28, 2005, the Commission issued a Notice of Amended Order. The
proposed amended Order eliminates the October 17, 2005 , filing deadline for Idaho tariffs, thus
leaving the Idaho filing deadline to coincide with the federal filing deadline. The Notice directed
interested parties who wished to be heard with regard to the Amended Order to submit written
comments within 14 days ofthe service date of the Notice. No written comments were received.
