In reference to a letter we received regarding case no GNR- T-O3-23.
We have an SMR radio wireless switch made by letron Company which provides
mobile telephone service to remote areas of Idaho. We cannot provide wireline service.
The switch is no longer supported by the manufacturer so no new features are available.
Our customers have radio phones in their cars or some have installed antennas and
power supplys in their homes so that they can use their phones in their homes.
I do not believe that we should be involved in wireline issues which seems to be what the
case is addressing. I called into the commission and explained that it seemed to me that
we should not be involved in this matter. They asked me to write this letter explaining
our situation.
