RE: Revision of the Commission s Utility Customer Relations Rules

Dear Jean:
By way of this letter, Intermountain Gas Company wishes to inform the Idaho Public Utilities
Commission of its intent to file formal Comments in opposition to several of the proposed
revisions to the Commission s Utility Customer Relations Rules.
Several of our Comments will echo concerns raised by the Company beginning as early as
April, 2007 through correspondence with the Staff. Subsequent to that correspondence
additional discussions were held with Staff as part of a Staff Audit as well as through the
Commission s Best Practices Meetings held in June and July of this year. These concerns
Intermountain believes, were not sufficiently addressed or made mention of in the Staff s
Decision Memorandum dated August 9, 2007.
Our Comments will be directed towards what we believe to be not only certain inequities and
inefficiencies created by these proposed Rules but also what we believe to be Rule makings in
conflict with Idaho Statute as well as the Uniform Commercial Code.
