HomeMy WebLinkAbout20230109INT to Staff Attachment - Response to No. 15_Pension Article.pdf EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT Between INTERMOUNTAIN GAS COMPANY And LOCAL UNIONS NO. 296 AND NO. 648 Of the UNITED ASSOCIATION OF JOURNEYMEN AND APPRENTICES OF THE PLUMBING AND PIPE FITTING INDUSTRY OF THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA AFL-CIO EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2016 TO SEPTEMBER 30, 2019 Article 29. PENSION BENEFITS SECTION 1. The Company agrees to contribute $4.12, effective October 1, 2016, amount is agreed upon by the Bargaining Unit members per hour paid per employee to the Idaho Plumbers and Pipefitters Pension Plan now in effect; $3.32 goes towards benefit accruals and $.80 is the supplemental contribution agreed to in 2009 which goes towards funding previous earned benefits and is not applied to current benefit accrual. This particular Pension Plan shall be made part of this Agreement, per provisions written in the Pension Agreement & Declaration of Trust made and entered into on the first day of June, 1963, between the employers and the Idaho Plumbers and Pipefitters Pension Fund. October 1, 2017, the amount agreed upon by the Bargaining Unit members per hour paid per employee to the Idaho Plumbers and Pipefitters will increase to $4.17. October 1, 2018, the amount agreed upon by the Bargaining Unit members per hour paid per employee to the Idaho Plumbers and Pipefitters will increase to $4.22. SECTION 2. The Company agrees to recognize for Company Pension Plan calculations all compensation paid for a regular employee of the Company during which no contribution was made on his/her behalf to the Idaho Plumbers and Pipefitters Pension Plan identified in Section 1. PENSION BENEFITS SECTION 1. The Company agrees to allocate $4.47, effective November 11, 2019, amount is agreed upon by the Bargaining Unit members per hour paid per employee to the Idaho Plumbers and Pipefitters Pension Plan. During the month of August, within the contract years 2020 and 2021, this Section of Article 29 will be opened for review and proposed changes and will remain open until September 1 of each contract year. All changes shall be mutually agreed upon by the Company and the Union. The allocations will be in accordance with the Idaho Plumbers and Pipefitters Pension Plan documents. This particular Pension Plan shall be made part of this Agreement, per provisions written in the Pension Agreement & Declaration of Trust made and entered into on the first day of June, 1963, between the employers and the Idaho Plumbers and Pipefitters Pension Fund. October 1, 2020, the amount agreed upon by the Bargaining Unit members per hour paid per employee to the Idaho Plumbers and Pipefitters will increase to $4.72. October 1, 2021, the amount agreed upon by the Bargaining Unit members per hour paid per employee to the Idaho Plumbers and Pipefitters will increase to $4.97. SECTION 2. The Company agrees to recognize for Company Pension Plan calculations all compensation paid for a regular employee of the Company during which no contribution was made on his/her behalf to the Idaho Plumbers and Pipefitters Pension Plan identified in Section 1. SECTION 3. Bargaining unit employees may contribute to the Company 401(k) as outlined in the Summary Plan Document. The employee contributions are not matched by the Company.
