RE:QWEST CORPORATION'S ADVICE NO. 04-04-N REMOVING BLOCK
COMPROMISE CHARGE.
On August 2 2004, the Commission received Advice No. 04-04-N from Qwest
Corporation. In this filing, Qwest seeks to remove the Block Compromise Charge associated
with Direct Inward Dial (DID) in its Exchange and Network Services Tariff for Northern Idaho.
DID sequential number block is a group of twenty telephone numbers in numeric order. The
last digit of the first number within the block is a zero , and the last number within the number
block must include an odd number in the sixth digit and a nine in the last digit. The Block
Compromise Charge of $50.00 currently applies when a customer requests a number be removed
from the sequential numbering block. Qwest now proposes to remove that charge and has asked
for an effective date of September 1 , 2004.
STAFF REVIEW
Staff has reviewed the filing and supports the removal of the Block Compromise Charge.
Therefore, Staff recommends approval of Advice No. 04-04-
