4 THE HEARING EXAMINER: All right, good
5 evening, ladies and gentlemen. This is the time and
6 place set for Commission hearing in Case No.
7 INT-G-03-1. This is in the matter of Intermountain
8 Gas Company's purchased gas cost adjustment
9 application. The Company has asked for authority to
10 increase its rates for the next 12 months by
11 approximately $61 million or 37.7 percent increase for
12 the average customer in revenue.
13 My name is Don Howell. I'm the
14 Commission's Hearing Officer and we are here to take
15 public testimony from members of the public if there
16 are any. Before we begin, let's get the appearances
17 of the parties. For the Commission Staff.
18 MR. HAMMOND: Thank you, Mr. Hearing
19 Examiner. My name is John Hammond. I'm a Deputy
20 Attorney General appearing for the Commission Staff
21 and with me are Michael Fuss, Commission Staff
22 engineer, and Alden Holm, accountant/auditor with the
23 Commission Staff.

1 MR. HUNTINGTON: Mr. Hearing Examiner,
2 thank you. I'm Mike Huntington. I'm vice president
3 of marketing and external affairs for Intermountain
4 Gas Company, and with me is Mike McGrath who is
5 director of market services and regulatory affairs.
6 THE HEARING EXAMINER: All right, thank
7 you, Mr. Huntington. I also am aware that we have
8 granted intervention to Jeffrey Brooks, dba Advanced
9 Energy Strategies. Is Mr. Brooks with us tonight?
10 All right, we'll have the record indicate that
11 Mr. Brooks is not available.
12 It is three past the hour. Is there any
13 member of the public wishing to give public testimony
14 in this matter? I'll make one more call. Is there
15 any member of the public wishing to provide public
16 testimony in this matter? I thought I saw the door
17 open. All right, then we will close the public
18 hearing since there are no members of the public
19 desiring to give testimony.
20 Again, members of the public may provide
21 testimony in written form via e-mail, letter or --
22 well, e-mail or letter to the Commission regarding
23 this case. Having concluded our public hearings in
24 this matter, we'll close the public record and we'll
25 have the court reporter make a transcript for the
