NOTICE OF HEARING
ORDER NO. 15710
On May 14, 1980 Intermountain Gas Company filed an
application with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission seeking a
Commission order authorizing Intermountain Gas Company to impose
a rate increase of $5,566,079.
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the permanent rate increase
proposed by Applicant was suspended for a period of 30 days plus
five months from June 13, 1980 or until such time as the Commission
issued an order in respect thereto, by Commission Order No.
15616. Pursuant to Notice of Application and Prehearing Conference,
a prehearing conference was held in this matter on June 16, 1980.
As the record of the prehearing conference indicates, Applicant
was put on notice that its storage and supply situation is an
issue in this case.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that by Commission Order No.
15701 issued on July 21, 1980, the Petition of Beker Industries
requesting a special rate for natural gas used in the production
of anhydrous ammonia, initially designated as Case No. U- 1034-89,
was consolidated with the above entit led Case No. U- 1034-88.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Commission has set
this matter for public hearing on TUESDAY, AUGUST 12, 1980 COMMENCING
AT 9:30 A.M. IN THE COMMISSION HEARING ROOM, 472 WEST WASHINGTON
STREET, BOISE, IDAHO, and continuing thereafter as necessary.
This phase of the hearing will be for the purpose of hearing
Applicant i s direct case and cross examination thereon. Pursuant
to Commission Order No. 15709, Applicant will also be expected to
present witnesses prepared to provide the Commission with a full
history of the negotiations and efforts Applicant has undertaken
to acquire natural gas from Southern Union Gas Company and its
subsidiaries and respond to inquiries on that issue.

YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that parties desiring to formally
intervene in the above entitled matter for the purposes of presenting
evidence or cross-examining witnesses, should file a Petition to
Intervene with the Commission pursuant to the Commission i s Rules
of Practice and Procedure.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that notices and orders have
already been entered in this matter. All parties are and will be
bound by the terms of pre-entered notices and orders. Questions
and inquiries concerning these previous ly issued notice and
orders may be directed to the Commission Secretary.
