RESPONSE:
Avista contributes to the growth of our communities and customers as a professional, stable and supportive corporate partner. Economic development strategies are regionally specific and targeted to provide the greatest sustainable economic lift in order to recruit, retain, and grow businesses, jobs, wages, and populations.
We primarily do this in three ways:
Initiate and drive;
Participate and support; and
Facilitate and convene.We fund and support economic development organizations that work to transform our communities through job creation, community development, grant writing, and other strategic initiatives. Additionally, through research, analysis, and community networking, we are leading and/or partnering in “rising tide” initiatives and other strategic efforts that leverage opportunities to build the community's capacity for sustainable and responsible growth.
