The Staff of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission requests that Avista Corporation
(Company) provide the following documents and information as soon as possible, by FRIDAY,
AUGUST 25,2017.
This Production Request is continuing, and the Company is requested to provide, by way
of supplementary responses, additional documents that it or any person acting on its behalf may
later obtain that will augment the documents produced.
Please provide answers to each question, supporting workpapers that provide detail or are
the source of information used in calculations. The Company is reminded that responses
pursuant to Commission Rules of Procedure must include the name and phone number of the
person preparing the document, and the name, location and phone number of the record holder
and if different the witness who can sponsor the answer at hearing if need be. Reference IDAPA
31.01.01.228.

In addition to the written copies provided as response to the questions, please provide all
Excel and electronic files on CD with formulas activated.
REQUEST NO. 74: Please provide the amount transferred to plant in service on a
system-wide basis, and an Idaho jurisdictional basis for Distribution Minor Rebuild, and Meter
Minor Blanket for the years 2012-2016.
REQUEST NO. 75: The Company states that the Meter Data Management (MDM)
System will create operational efficiencies. Has the Company tried to quantify those
efficiencies? If so, what were the results? If not, why not? Has the MDM system been placed in
service? If so, when? If not, when is it expected to be placed into service?
REQUEST NO. 76: Please provide the updated transfers to plant in service by month
through May 2017, with the updated forecasts through December 2017.
REQUEST NO. 77: Please update the Executive Labor adjustment for 2017 with each
executive making a new declaration of the percentage of their time spend working on utility vs.
non-utility operations. Please note that for purposes of this request, any executive time spent
working on the Hydro One acquisition of Avista should be separately identified or considered
non-utility operations.
REQUEST NO. 78: Please provide an update to Adjustment 1.02 for electric and
natural gas reflecting2}l7 actuals. Please also identiff any changes to the 2018 amounts
reflected in the workpapers and provide a summary of those changes.
REQUEST NO. 79: Please provide an update to the Company's adjustment for
uncollectible expense to account for any changes between the uncollectible expenses between
electric and gas operations. Please provide a brief narrative of the reasoning for the change.

REQUEST NO. 80: Please provide any communications and correspondence between
the Company and its pension actuaries regarding the level of pension expense for years 2017-
2019.
REQUEST NO. 81: Please provide an update to the Company's pro forma IT/IS
adjustments for 2017 using actuals instead of estimates when available. Please provide a
summary of any changes.
REQUEST NO. 82: Please provide an update to the Company's O&M Offsets
adjustment reflecting the removal of the expiring lease expense associated with the Company
airplane.
REQUEST NO. 83: Please provide an update to the Company's electric Adjustment
2.12 (Colstrip and CS2 O&M Amortization) for 2017 using actuals instead of budgeted numbers
where available.
