Sierra Club Data Request 8.1 Please provide the assumed resource interconnection limits (i.e., in MW) for each of the local load areas modeled on PacifiCorp’s system, as identified in Figure 8.3 on page 222
of PacifiCorp’s IRP, Volume I.
(a) Please explain the basis for how PacifiCorp determined each of these interconnection limits.
Response to Sierra Club Data Request 8.1 For the interconnection limits related to each transmission selection, please refer to the confidential data disk accompanying PacifiCorp’s 2021 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP), specifically folder “Plexos Inputs CONF.zip\Plexos Inputs”, file “Plexos Inputs - 2021
IRP 091021_CONF”. The firm transmission rights limits are provided on tab “Properties”
in the inputs file by filtering on “Lines” in column a “Collection” (column a) and then by filtering on “Max Flow” in column d “Property”. Please also refer to transmission information provided in the 2021 IRP, Chapter 9 (Modeling and Portfolio Selection
Results), Table 9.16 (Transmission Projects Included in the 2021 IRP Preferred Portfolio)
on page 294.
(a) The determination of each of these interconnection limits are based on PacifiCorp’s firm transmission rights of transmission assets, transmission contracts, and interconnection studies.
