Page I of the Application in Case No. PAC-E-20-17 states that the nameplate capacity rating of the same facility is 350 kW. Please reconcile the difference providing the cause of the difference in nameplate capacity between the two cases. Response to IPUC Data Request I The Nameplate Capacity Rating of 0.45 megawatts (MW), as stated on page 6 of the power purchase agreement (PPA) in this proceeding was verified from a facility nameplate image that the facility owner recently sent to the Company at the Company's request. TheNameplate Capacity Rating of 350 kilowatts GSD, as stated on page 1 of the Application in Case PAC-E-20-17, was an oversight on the Company's part, especially given that the nameplate image provided to the Company by the facility owner states "Rated KW 450". Note: the original PPA between Nicholson's Sunny Bar Ranch and Utah Power and Light Company (UP&L) was executed in June 1985. That original PPA stated that the Nicholson's Sunny Bar Ranch hydroelectric facility had a capacity of 350 kW. PacifiCorp has no documentation to verifr or explain why the original 1985 PPA stated 350 kW. Please refer to Attachment IPUC 1 which provides a copy of nameplate image referenced above, verifuing 450 kW. (b) When were the modifications made? (c) Please describe the configuration of the 350 kW facility and the configuration of the 450 kW facility after the modification. (d) If there were multiple generators in the 350 kW facility, please describe how the generators operated under different situations regarding water availability (e) If there are multiple generators in the 450 kW facility, please describe how the generators operate under different situations regarding water availability. (0 Did the 350 kW facility have a meter for each generator? (g) Does the 450 kW facility have a meter for each generator? (h) Does the facility have a separate meter that measures the output from the added capacity? (i) What level of generation data (frequency, time resolution, etc.) can the Company collect from the meter(s) installed at the facility? O Please provide the amount of generation in each hour from the facility for the past five years (from 2016 to 2020). Response to IPUC Data Request 2 (a) No modifications have been made in the history of the generator and turbine equipment since the original equipment installation over 35 years ago. In the last three years, the facility owner has performed maintenance on the water line that feeds the generator as the original concrete water line had deteriorated and was leaking extensively. Requirements of the transmission interconnection agreement to install safety relays were also completed near year end 2020. Neither the water line maintenance nor the installation of transmission interconnection safety relays changes the original nameplate capacrty of a generator unit as nothing in the generator unit itself has been modified. (c) Please refer to the Company's response to subpart (a) above, and to the Company's response to IPUC Data Request l. (d) Please refer to the Company's response to subpart (a) above, and to ttre Company's response to IPUC Data Request l. (e) Please refer to the Company's response to subpart (a) above, and to the Company's response to IPUC Data Request l. (f) There is only one meter for the original 450 kilowatt (kW) nameplate capacity rated generator. (g) Please refer to the Company's response to subpart (f) above (h) No. Please refer to the Company's response to subpart (f) above. (i) A meter change out occurred in March 2021 and the new meter is capable of recording generation output in 15-minute intervals. O Until the new meter was installed (March 2021), hourly meter reads were not available. Pxagraph2.2 states that the Initial Delivery Date is May l, 2021, and that the "Seller must begin selling and making available to PacifiCorp Net Output under this Agreement on May 1,2021." Given that a final order is unlikely to issue in this proceeding by May 1,2021, please answer the following questions: (a) Have the parties agreed on what rates the Seller will receive for energy generated and delivered to PacifiCorp between the Initial Delivery Date and the Effective Date? (b) If yes to (a), please provide the agreement between the Seller and PacifiCorp (c) Is the Seller planning to deliver energy between the Initial Delivery Date and the Effective Date? Response to IPUC Data Request 3 (a) No (b) Not applicable. (c) Yes. The Seller is planning to deliver energy between the Initial Delivery Date and the Effective Date.
