Response to IPUC Data Request 5 Revenue credits from renewable energy credit (REC) sales are not included in net power costs (NPC), rather, they are part of the Company's revenue requirement calculation and RECs are tracked in the energy cost adjustment mechanism (ECAM). If approved by the Idaho Public Utilities Commission (IPUC), the Company would split Idaho's system generation (SG) allocation factor between P4 Production,LLc (P4) lBayer Corporation (Bayer), and all other Idaho customers. In the example included in the work papers, provided with the application, Idaho's total SG allocation factor was 5.911 I percent, and P4lBayer's SG allocation factor was I .9443 percent. Based on this example, the Company would withhold 1.9443 percent of system RECs and not make those available for sale. All other Idaho customers will continue to be allocated their share of any system REC sales revenue, as occurs today. The Company would not allocate any REC revenues to Electric Service Schedule 400 in the cost of service (COS) study or rate design or in the ECAM. This fteatment would require a separate ECAM rate for P4lBayer. All other Idaho customers will continue to be allocated their share of system REC revenues and will not be impacted by the treatnent of Bayer's share of system REC.
