Please provide actual and forecasted net power costs by month from 2014 to
present. Please provide system and Idaho allocated amounts. For forecasted
amounts, please provide the most readily available forecast for each year and
provide the date of the forecast.
Response to Bayer Data Request 92
The Company submits actual net power costs (NPC) annually as part of the
annual energy cost adjustnent mechanism @CAM) proceedings in Idaho. Please
refer to Confidential Attachment Bayer 92 which provides copies of the actual
NPC reports from the following Idaho ECAM proceedings:
Case PAC-E-I5-01 - December 2013 through November 2014
Case PAC-E-I6-05 - December 2014 through November 2015
Case PAC-E-L7-02 - December 2015 through December 2016
Case PAC-E-I 8-01 - calendar year 2017
Case PAC-E-19-04 - calendar year 2018
Case PAC-E-20-02 - calendar year 2019
Case PAC-E-21-09 - calendar year 2020
The Company does not annually forecast NPC for Idaho. For each annually filed
ECAM, actual NPC for Idaho is compared to the most recent base forecast NPC
for Idaho from the most recently ordered rate case proceeding. Therefore, the
current base forecast NPC for Idaho is the NPC from Case PAC-E-I6-12 for
calendar year 2016, which is included in each of the ECAM work papers provided
in Confidential Attachment Bayer 92 for Case PAC-E-18-01, Case PAC-E-19-04,
Case PAC-E-20-02, and Case PAC-E-21-09. Before that, Case PAC-E-17-02
included base NPC for calendar year 20ll and calendar year 2015, and Case
PAC-E- 1 6-05 / Case PAC-E- 1 5-0 I included base NPC for calendar year 20ll .
Note: this current proceeding, Case PAC-E-21-07, includes forecast NPC for
calendar year 202L.
