Personal Time Program ii
INTRODUCTION
Purpose of This Summary
This summary describes the major features of the PacifiCorp Personal Time Program as of January
1, 2020.
Please carefully review this information and keep it in a safe place for future reference.
While it is the company’s intention to continue the Personal Time Program indefinitely, the company
reserves the right to amend or terminate one or more parts of the program at any time and for any reason.
Program Overview
The Personal Time Program is a flexible program that allows for continuation of your pay when you are
away from work for almost any reason. With the Personal Time Program, you will maintain a single “bank”
of hours based on:
Your hire date and years of service (applies to full-time nonrepresented employees only).
Your actual hours worked (applies to part-time nonrepresented employees only).
This bank of hours can be used for vacation, short-duration sickness or accident, family illness, or
personal business. This time is yours to use however you wish, subject to company business
requirements.

Personal Time Program 1
Your Personal Time Program
Eligibility
You are eligible for personal time benefits if you are a regular full-time or part-time nonrepresented employee regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week. Participation is automatic, and benefits begin accruing the first pay period in which your regular full-time or part-time employment begins.
How the Program Works
The Personal Time Program provides pay when you are away from work for almost any reason. All time off taken is considered as personal time, with the exception of holidays, civic duty, certain leaves of absence, and disability. For example, two days off for illness will be treated in the same way as two days off for vacation; in each case, two days will be deducted from your personal time bank. After each pay period, you receive hours, based on the number of months worked. The 1.5x annual accrual cap will be applied after each payroll period.

Accruing Personal Time
Crediting Your Personal Time
Your personal time is allocated after the end of each pay period (approximately the 15th and last day of each month) for pay periods ending on the 10th and 25th. The allocation is based on your length of
service with the company and on your hire date. To see how much personal time you have available,
visit Employee Self Service (ESS) or refer to ZHROFF in the Human Resources module of the SAP system.
Previously allocated paid leave will be considered in the determination of personal time for employees who transfer from a paid-time-off program with different provisions (e.g., vacation/sick leave plan). For
additional information, please see “Transferring From Another Time-Off Plan” on page 5.
Length of Service
Hours awarded are based on the number of months completed since your original hire date or adjusted
hire date at the time of the allocation. You will not receive accruals for certain periods of unpaid leave of
absence. For more information, please see “Personal Time Accrual While on a Leave of Absence” on
page 3.
Work Schedule
Personal time is prorated for regular part-time employees, based on actual hours worked during the prior
12-month period. Regular part-time employees will continue the prorated accrual rate for the remainder of
that calendar year. Employees regularly scheduled to work 36 or more hours per week are considered
full-time for personal time accrual purposes.
Personal Time Accrual Schedule (in hours)
You must complete the 49th, 145th, or 277th month of service to receive the higher allocation of personal
time at the next pay period allocation.

Personal Time Program 3
Personal Time Program Part-Time Employees
If you are a part-time, exempt, nonrepresented employee, your time off allocation (including personal time
and floating holidays) is based on your scheduled work hours. If you are a part-time, hourly, nonrepresented employee, your time off allocation will be prorated, based on actual hours worked the previous year.
Actual Hours Worked in the Previous Year Time Off Allocation
For newly hired part-time employees who have not worked a full year, you will receive the standard
parttime allocation based on scheduled hours worked:
Scheduled Hours Worked Time Off Allocation
For purposes of establishing benefit accrual amounts, the Personal Time Program generally recognizes
all regular full-time and part-time service with PacifiCorp or any subsidiary.
Personal Time Accrual While on a Leave of Absence
Personal time will not accrue while you are on a nondisability leave of absence, except during an
approved FMLA leave of absence. For more information about leaves of absence, see the policies posted
on the PacifiCorp intranet.
Personal Time Program 4
Using Your Personal Time
Scheduling Personal Time
Time off for vacations and personal business must be arranged and approved in advance with your supervisor to minimize the impact on the company’s business. Supervisors are responsible for notifying employees of the requirements for advance notice to schedule personal time days.
While time off for the sudden illness of an employee or family member obviously cannot be scheduled,
employees are required to inform their supervisors as soon as possible. Personal time will be used
unless the absence falls within another company policy.
All available personal time must be exhausted before any unpaid leave or time off.
Personal Time Cap
Personal Time Cap for Full-Time Employees
A maximum of 1.5 times your annual personal time accrual can be accumulated. When you reach the
maximum personal time accrual, you will stop accruing personal time hours until you use enough
personal time hours to reduce your accrual amount to below the maximum personal time accrual. See
page 2 the personal time caps for full-time employees.

Personal Time at Termination or Retirement
At termination or retirement, any remaining personal time hours, up to your annual accrual rate, will be reimbursed at 100% of your current pay rate. Terminating or retiring employees must be actively at work on the last day of employment and cannot take their final weeks of employment as personal time in order to prolong or delay the termination or retirement date; instead, their personal time will be cashed out at
100% of their annual accrual. (Personal time accrual schedules can be found on page 2.)
Note to California employees: According to California state law, your available balance of personal time
is reimbursed at 100% of your current pay rate at termination or retirement.
In the event you qualify for LTD benefits, you are displaced, or you die, all available personal time is
reimbursed at 100% of your current pay rate.
Personal Time Program 5
Supplemental Time (Employees Hired Before January
1, 2010)
Supplemental time consists of hours converted from personal time or, for some employees who were
covered under previous paid-time-off programs, hours remaining from those programs.
Supplemental time is used to supplement short-term disability (STD) benefits so that you can continue to
receive 100% of pay. Supplemental time hours are automatically drawn from your bank of hours to
supplement your pay. If you want to use your supplemental time, be sure to notify your supervisor (or the
person reporting your time) so that your supplemental hours are coded appropriately on your timesheet.
Supplemental time cannot be used to satisfy the STD waiting period. (For more information about STD
benefits, please see the Short-Term Disability summary booklet.)
Other Personal Time Uses
After any available supplemental time has been exhausted, personal time can also be used to
supplement short-term disability benefits to maintain 100% of pay while you are away from work because
of illness or injury.
Any available personal time, up to the annual accrual rate, will be cashed out at the end of the year in which an employee becomes eligible for the company’s long-term disability (LTD) benefits that cover a disability which continues past 180 calendar days. If LTD is imminent, then personal time may be cashed
out upon approval of LTD or at the end of the calendar year. Personal time will no longer accrue for an
employee on long-term disability leave status.
Transferring From Another Time-Off Plan
When employees transfer from a represented position into a position covered by the company’s
nonrepresented Personal Time Program, their current time-off accruals are converted to the new plan. Their personal time accrual begins with the first pay period of the transfer and is based on years of service and on the work schedule at the time of transfer. If you transfer from a represented position into a position covered by the company’s nonrepresented Personal Time Program, you will receive information from the Employee Benefits Department outlining how your time off bank was transferred.
Local 127, Laramie 57 and Local 197
If you transfer from either the Local 127 or Local 197 Personal Time Program to the nonrepresented Personal Time Program, you may see a change in the accrual hours, based on length of service.
Local 125, and Local 659
Any vacation and sick leave hours earned under your prior plan will be converted to personal time under
the new plan.
Local 57 Power Supply, Power Delivery and Combustion Turbine
Any vacation hours and up to 160 hours of sick leave hours earned under your prior plan will be converted to personal time under the new plan. Sick leave hours over 160 and supplemental time accrued under your prior plan will be converted to supplemental time.
