Ted Weston Manager, Regulation PAC-E-21-03 I Rocky Mountain Power March 11,2021 IPUC Data Request 1 IPUC Data Request 1 Please identify all filings related to and/or dependent on IRP approval and describe any potential impacts on those filings with an extension of the IRP timeline. Response to IPUC Data Request 1 The Company is aware of two filings ordered by the Idaho Public Utilities Commission (IPUC) that utilizes Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) data: (I) Order No. 32697 requires the Company to update its capacity sufficiency / deficiency period, used to identify when new qualified facilities are eligible for capacity payments; (2) Order No. 30497 requires the Company, in conjunction with its IRP planning process, to address wind and solar integration costs as a discrete part of its plan. The updated wind and solar integration study is filed for IPUC approval in a separate docket. An extension to the timeline of PacifiCorp's 2021 IRP would delay both filings. While the IRP extension would delay those subsequent filings, IPUC approval for the delay of those filings is not required as the due dates are triggered by the date of an acknowledged IRP.
