IPUC Data Request I
Since the approval of the 1991 contract, has the Company encountered actual
capacity deficiency period(s)? Please provide a list of all generation facilities or
power purchase agreements that were added to meet the need for capacity during
the period(s).
Response to IPUC Data Request I
Yes, the Company has encountered actual capacity deficiency periods. For
example, immediately prior to Idaho Public Utilities Commission (IPUC) Order
33425 dated December I 5, 201 5 in Case PAC-E-15-12, the Company's capacity
deficiency under the Surrogate Avoided Resource (SAR) methodology was
assumed to begin in 2013. Please refer to Attachment IPUC 1 for a list of long-
term resources added since 2007 that are delivering to the Company now or are
contracted to do so in the future.
