PAC.E.I9.I2 FIRST PRODUCTION REQUEST OF THE COMMISSION STAFF TO ROCKY MOUNTAIN POWER The Staff of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, by and through its attomey of record, Dayn Hardie, Deputy Attorney General, requests that Rocky Mountain Power provide the following documents and information as soon as possible, but no later than THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2019. This Production Request is to be considered as continuing, and Rocky Mountain Power is requested to provide, by way of supplementary responses, additional documents that it, or any person acting on its behalf, may later obtain that will augment the documents or information produced. Please provide answers to each question, supporting workpapers that provide detail or are the source of information used in calculations, and the name, job title, and telephone number of FIRST PRODUCTION REQUEST TO ROCKY MOTINTAIN POWER ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) 1 ocToBER t7,2019 the person preparing the documents. Please identify the name, job title, location, and telephone number of the record holder. In addition to the written copies provided as response to the requests, please provide all Excel spreadsheets and electronic files on CD with formulas intact and enabled. REQUEST NO. 1: Which classes of service are expected to benefit from the new option? Will the cost of the option be recovered only from those who receive it, or will costs be shared by a larger group of customers or class of customers? How will the cost of this option be allocated to customers in future cost allocation studies? Please provide justification, as applicable. REQUEST NO. 2: Is the Company planning to propose a separate charge to customers requesting a single-phase,2401480 volts, 3-wire, grounded secondary service? Please explain. REQUEST NO.3: Would the change also be implemented through the line extension policy? If so, please describe the specific changes that will need to occur in the Company's line extension policy and tariff. REQUEST NO. 4: Please identify and provide the plant and expense accounts (in the uniform system of accounts) that are affected by the proposed option for customers to receive single-phas e, 2401 480 volts, 3-wire, grounded secondary service. REQUEST NO. 5: Please provide the expected cost for a typical installation of a single- phase, 2401480 volts, 3-wire, grounded secondary service. Please breakdown the costs to directly reflect the transformer, other installation material, and labor costs. REQUEST NO. 6: Please provide the difference in cost of a single-phase, 2401480 volts, 3-wire, grounded transformer compared to a single-phase, 1201240 volts, 3-wire, grounded transformer on a per MVA basis.
