On March 14, 2019, OPUC Staff issued the following follow-up request: Where can I find the data links for Column “D” TERMINAL and “P” INTERIM “Retirement data” in OPUC DR 6-3? (CALCULATION OF WEIGHTED NET SALVAGE PERCENT FOR GENERATION PLANT AS OF DECEMBER 31, 2017) 2nd Supplemental Response to OPUC Data Request 6 Referring to Attachment OPUC 6-3 provided with the company’s February 19, 2019 response to OPUC Data Request 6, the terminal retirements in Column 2 and the interim retirements in Column 8 were calculated using Gannett Fleming’s depreciation software based on the current plant balances, estimated interim survivor curves, and the estimated retirement dates of each facility from the depreciation study. The interim retirements represent the portion of current plant in service forecast to retire prior to the estimated retirement date based on the estimated interim survivor curves. The terminal retirements represent the portion of current plant in service forecast to be retired as terminal retirements based on the estimates in the depreciation study. Both the interim and terminal retirements are calculated by applying the estimated interim survivor curves to the current plant balances.
