RE:IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF CLARICOM NETWORKS, INc.
d/b/a STAPLES COMMUNICATION NETWORKS FOR A CERTIFICATE OF
PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY. CASE NO. GNR-00-37.
On November 16 , 2000, Claricom Networks, Inc. d/b/a Staples Communications
Networks filed an Application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to resell basic
local exchange service within the State of Idaho. Staff received notification in May 2001 that
ownership of Claricom Networks, Inc. was to be transferred to Stacom Holdings. On April 22, 2003
the Company filed a written request to withdraw its Application without prejudice.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Commission approve the Company s request to withdraw its
Application and that Case No. GNR-00-37 be closed.
COMMISSION DECISION
Does the Commission wish to allow Claricom Networks, Inc. d/b/a! Staples
Communications Networks to withdraw its Application without prejudice, thus closing the case?
