DPU Data Request 4.1
DPU Data Request 4.1
Hemstreet Testimony. In reference to lines 63-64,what is the estimated useful life of the
energy collection system for each wind facility? What is the maximum energy capacity
for each wind facility collection system?
Confidential Response to DPU Data Request 4.1
The Company estimates that the useful life for the energy collection systems at each
facility is up to 50 years. The maximum energy capacity for each wind facility collection
system is generally limited by the generator step-up transformer (GSU).The Company
anticipates that current GSU capacity ratings can,if necessary,be increased with
modificationsto the transformer cooling systems. The confidential table below lists the
ratings of the existing GSUs at each wind project. These ratings are at a temperature rise
of 65 degrees Celsius above ambient temperature (40 degrees Celsius)with the second
stage cooling fans in service.

fuel costs, etc.?Please explain in detail and provide analysis with intact formulae.
Response to DPU Data Request 4.2
The Company performed an "Increased Wind Repower Capacity Sensitivity"to assess
the impacts of modified interconnection agreements that accommodate the additional

including front office transactions (FOT),was providedwith the confidential work papers
supporting the Direct Testimony of Company witness,Rick T.Link;specifically:
the folder entitled "SO Model Summary Reports",the file entitled "SO Portfolio

Additional information including net power costs (NPC)was also providedwith Mr.
Link's confidential work papers;specifically:
the folder entitle "Exhibits Figures Tables",the file entitled "Repower Results
Direct Testimony".Note:refer to the SO Sensitivity worksheet,"Increased Wind
Repower Capacity Sensitivity ($Million)"on row 77.
Outside of this sensitivity, the existing interconnection agreement limits are assumed for
the repowered projects.
