that Energy West will continue to provide PacifiCorp should the transaction be
completed. If no services will be provided, please explain any ongoing affiliated
relationships.
Response to IPUC Data Request 25
Energy West Mining Company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of PacifiCorp and is
the operator of the Deer Creek Mine and is currently the designated agent of
PacifiCorp's approved Deer Creek Mine mining and reclamation permits issued
by the State of Utah. Energy West Mining Company will continue to facilitate
removal of all equipment from the mine, construct bulkhead and portal seals, and
initiate reclamation activities in accordance with the final closure activities
associated with the Deer Creek Mine. Energy West Mining Company is a legal
business entity to remain in place for an unknown period of time for wrapping up
various business matters until its final disposition is determined by PacifiCorp.
