DPUData Request 57.5Please explain the difference in the forecast natural gas requirement (MMBtu) projected in the rate case (R746-700-23.B.5.D) and the forecast natural gas requirement provided in the most recent hedging report.
Response to DPUData Request 57.5
The forecasted MMBtu in Filing Requirement R746-700-23.B.5.Dwas determined by the GRID model based on the Company’s November 2011 load forecast and December 30, 2011 Official Forward Price Curve (OFPC). The hedging report is based on more recent loads and prices. In addition, the requirement in the general rate case is impacted by normalizing adjustments such as the schedule of thermal planned outages and hydro generation.The Company has not prepared any further analysis on the differences between the forecasts.
