Please provide documentation supporting the retirement date of 2029 for the
Naughton plant.Please include any cost/benefit analysis which was included in
the study for the planned additions in this depreciation study and the planned
costs associated with the conversion of the Naughton Unit 3 to gas in 2017.
Please include any additional data that would support the closing date of 2029.
Response to IPUC Data Request 9
The retirement date of 2029 was selected for the Naughton Plant consistent with
the age established in the 2007 depreciation study.The Company has not
proposed any increases to the previously approved coal plant lives because of its
concerns related to environmental regulations
Please find attached copies of the original appropriation requests for the scrubber
upgrades to Naughton units 1 and 2 for which costs were inclttded in this
depreciation study;Confidential Attachments IPUC 9-1 and 9-2.These are
confidential documents and are provided under the confidential confidentiality
agreement in this proceeding.
No costs for converting Naughton Unit 3 to gas are included in this depreciation
study.Consistent with current environmental regulations,the Company is still
planning to make the conversion to gas for Naughton Unit 3 to be effective in
2015.

which has an estimated completion date of December 31,2013 as provided in
your file IPUC 8-1.Please include any documentation supporting the estimated
$55.6M as well as the percentage of completion,estimated interim completion
dates,billings to date,commitments/contracts for completion and any other data
which would support the in-service date.

The following information for the ILR 4.3 Merwin Upstream Collect &Transport
project is provided as Confidential Attachment IPUC 11:
•Initial and supplementary project approval documents.
•Monthly actuals through March 2013 and forecasted costs through project
completion.To assist in making a comparison,total project cost of $55.6
million included in the attachment to IPUC $represents the planned in-service
amount for the project at December 31,2013.
