These options include: • working out a plan to spread payments out over a longer period • setting up an Equal Pay plan to equalize the amount due each month • changing the payment due date to a more convenient day for you, if the current monthly due date is a problem • helping limited-income households find local energy assistance agencies (details on back) • assistance in managing your overall energy use Times can be tough. Please give us a call at the first sign you may not be able to pay your electric bill, while it is still easier to manage. It may feel like a hard call to make, but we have trained, highly knowledgeable people who want to help. Look to us for assistance in finding the answers you need. Available assistance programs include: • the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP), which is designed to help low income households with home energy costs. It is administrated by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare through local agencies. • Lend A Hand, which is a nonprofit program providing energy assistance with donated funds. Contact the agencies below to learn how to qualify for LIEAP and Lend A Hand. Income-qualifying customers can receive free weatherization services, which may include insulation, refrigerator replacements, compact fluorescent light bulbs and measures that improve water heating efficiency.
