Please provide the NPC analyses used to' develop the information shown in
Cònfdential Attachment Monsanto 1.11- 1, Table 8 and provide a list of all
modeling assumptions including but not limited to wholesale market sizes. In
addition, please provide the hourly coal generation and wholesale sales by market
with and without the project for the first two years of the studies.
Response to Monsanto Data Request 6.2 1st Supplemental
In addition to the information previoiislyprovided in response to Monsanto 6.2,
the following information is provided as fuher response to Monsanto 6.2 (in
response to an August 3, 2010 email from Mr. Widmer to Mr. Duvall).
The Company has not performed an NPC study to evaluate the Energy Gateway
transmission project. However, the Company did perform Present Value Revenue
Requirement studies using the IRP PaR model to compare the difference with and
without the transmission addition. Please refer to Confidential Attachment
Monsanto 6.2 1 st Supplemental for the results of the PaR studies used as
justification and support for the Gat~wayEnergy transmission project. For
production cost modeling with the PÌanning and Risk model, PacifiCorp assumes
the limiting factor for market access to be the firm transmission rights to and from
each market as reflected in the model's trsmission topology. Please refer
specifically to the tab labeled "Study Assumptions."
