The Staff of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, by and through its attorney of record
Donald L. Howell, II, Deputy Attorney General, requests that PacifiCorp dba Utah Power & Light
Company (PacifiCorp; Company) provide the following documents and information as soon as
possible, but no later than FRIDAY, OCTOBER 28,2005.
This Production Request is to be considered as continuing, and PacifiCorp is requested to
provide, by way of supplementary responses, additional documents that it or any person acting on
its behalf may later obtain that will augment the documents produced.
For each item, please indicate the name of the person(s) preparing the answers, along with
the job title of such person(s) and the witness who can sponsor the answer at hearing.

REQUEST NO.1: For each and every qualified retirement plans sponsored by
PacifiCorp, please provide the following:
a. Copies of all plan documents, including amendments.
b. Copies of the Summary Plan Description.
c. Copies of all allocation reports, administration reports and/or actuarial reports for each
of the last 5 years, including all compliance testing.
d. Copies of all Forms 5500's including attachments for each of the last 5 years.
REQUEST NO.2: If MidAmerican plans to continue offering the same level of
retirement benefits to employees ofPacifiCorp, please provide copies of the merger amendments
for the continuing plans. If the merger amendments have not yet been prepared, please provide an
outline of such amendments. If any plan is going to be discontinued or terminated, please state so.
