Chinden Blvd Building 8 Suite 20lA Boise,lD 83714 RE: 2007Idaho Energy Plan Policy E-18 Rocky Mountain Power has prepared its Power Content Label or "fuel mix" report for 2019 in compliance with Policy E-I8 of the 2007 ldaho Energy Plan. The policy states: "Idaho utilities shall repon annually to their retail customers their sources of electricity (their "fuel mix")." The Company's Power Content Label is based on energy for reporting consistency in all jurisdictions. Rocky Mountain Power's Power Content Label detailing electricity sources will be sent to the Company's Idaho retail customers as a bill stuffer during the April billing cycle, April2 through May l, 2020. The Rocky Mountain Power "basic fuel mix" is based on energy production and not resource capability, capacity or delivered energy. All or some ofthe renewable energy attributes associated with wind, solar, biomass, geothermal and qualifying hydro facilities in Rocky Mountain Power's fuel mix may be: (a) used to comply with renewable portfolio standards or other regulatory requirements, (b) sold to third parties in the form of renewable energy credits and/or other environmental commodities or (c) not acquired. Natural gas generation uses natural gas as the primary fuel source, Hydroelectric generation is created when water flows from a higher elevation to a lower elevation, and the flow is converted to electricity. Wind generation is created by movement of air. Biomass generation is from burning solid organic fuels from wood, forest or field residue, or dedicated energy crops, Geothermal generation comes from thermal energy naturally produced within the earth. Solar generation uses the heat from the sun.
