ANDERSON: Good morning, everyone. 3 This is the time and place for a customer 4 hearing in Case Number IPC-E-23-01, also 5 referred to as In the Matter of Idaho Power 6 Company's Application for Certificate of Public 7 Convenience and Necessity of the 8 Boardman-to-Hemingway 500 kV Transmission Line 9 Project. 10 The purpose of this hearing is to take 11 testimony from the members of the public in 12 reference to Idaho Power's request that was filed 13 with the Commission on January 9, 2023. 14 My name is Commissioner Eric Anderson. I'm 15 the Chair for this morning's proceedings. I'm 16 joined by Commissioner Hammond to my right and 17 Commissioner Lodge to my left and we comprise the 18 Commission. 19 And in this case we will collectively make a 20 final determination on this matter. To this 21 point several parties have intervened. And an 22 informational workshop for the public has been 23 conducted. 24 Today's objective is to take live testimony 25 which will be added to the underlying record in - June 13, 2023 4 1 this case. The commissioners will review the 2 facts and evidence in the record to make its 3 final decisions for this proceeding. 4 We currently have no one signed up to speak. 5 Hopefully that changes. As far as the procedure 6 this morning goes, I will call your name from the 7 sign-up sheet, and you will take the stand to be 8 sworn in. I will ask you to raise your right 9 hand to swear or affirm that the testimony you 10 are providing is the truth and the whole truth. 11 Our Deputy Attorney General, Mr. Michael 12 Duval, over to my far right will then ask you to 13 identify yourself for the record which will 14 include your name, spelling of your last name, 15 your city residence and whether you are a 16 customer of Idaho Power, then you may present 17 your testimony. 18 Please remain at the stand until all the 19 commissioners have had an opportunity to ask 20 questions also. And one other thing. If there's 21 testimony taken today, make sure it's pertinent 22 to this case and not other issues. If there are 23 other issues, we'll have staff direct you to 24 where those need to be delivered. 25 For those in the audience we ask that you - June 13, 2023 5 1 refrain from reacting to any testimony, good or 2 bad. No clapping. No verbal comment.
