BOTSE, TDAHO, TUESDAY, AUGUST 24, 2021, 1:L0 p. M
COMMISSIONER KJELLANDER: Wel-1, good
evening. This is the time and place for a public hearj-ng
in Case No. TPC-E-2L-72, also known as in the matter of
the Idaho Power Company's application for a determinatj-on
acknowl-edging its North Valmy Power P1ant exit date.
My name is Paul Kjellander. 1'11 be the
Chair of tonight's proceeding and together with
Commissioners Eric Anderson and Kristine Raperr w€ will
ul-timately decide the outcome of this case once it's
ful1y submitted.
At this point what Ird l-ike to do is
notice for the record that we waited until- 10 minutes
after 7:00 o'cl-ock. It was supposed to be a 7:00 orclock
start time for the public hearing, but at 7:00 o'cIock,
we did not have any members of the public who were in the
queue who wj-shed to testify, so we chose to wait for 10
mj-nutes to see if we had any additlonal callers, and we
do not have any additional callers who j-ntend to provide
public testimony this evening, so at this poi-nt, for the
record, what I wiII go ahead and do is take the
appearances of the parties and letrs start with the
Applicant Idaho Power Company.25

MS. NORDSTROM: Good evening. This is
Lisa Nordstrom appearing on beha1f of Idaho Power
Company.
COMMISSIONER KJELLANDER: Thank you,
Ms. Nordstrom, for being here this evening. We
appreciate your participation. Let's move now to the
Deputy Attorney General representing Commission Staff.
MR. HARDIE: Good evening. Dayn Hardie
representing Commission Staff.
COMMISSIONER KJELLANDER: Thank you, Mr.
Hardie. I would also like to note for the record that
the other intervenors include the Industrial Customers of
Idaho Power. Peter Richardson is legal counsel there.
Idaho Conservation League, Benjamin Otto is legal counsef
representing the Idaho Conservation League. The City of
Boise is represented by Mary Grant, and Micron
Technology, Incorporated, is represented by Jim Swier.
As you note, theyrre not here this
evening. The reason for that is because this case is
moving forward with modified procedure and quite
honestly, we didn't catch the fact that there had been a
public hearing established and one that probably, as we
note from no participation, probably wasnrt needed since
there appears to be an all-party settlement on this as we
move forward.

So since we do not have anyone from the
public who is here to testify, what I would also like to
do is to thank our court reporter, Connie Bucy, for
taking the time to set up. It will probably take her
more time to set up and break down than it took for her
to take the transcription for this evening and we do
apprecj-ate that, and I also want to thank our public
j-nformation officer for hls efforts in making sure that
all of the technology worked this
had anybody who call-ed in.
f've done as much
