HomeMy WebLinkAbout20200626Attachment 1 No.7.docxCapacity Benefit Margin Purpose This document describes the current process used by Idaho Power in its role as a NERC Transmission Service Provider to establish a CBM value for each ATC Path to be used for ATC calculations at least every 13 months in accordance with MOD-004-1 – Capacity Benefit Margin Requirement R5. Procedure Idaho Power’s Transmission Service Provider maintains SharePoint workflows that trigger an initial notification and a reminder, if needed,to the Transmission Planner to annually provide the CBM value. Transmission Planner On October 1 of each year, receives notification via SharePoint workflow to provide the CBM value and effective date by adding an entry to the MOD-004 SharePoint list. The next update(Update Due) field is calculated 380 days from the Effective Date of the previous entry. The Update Due provides awareness for the latest date the CBM value can be provided, without going past 13 months from the effective date. Receives reminder notification if CBM value and effective date are not populated by October 15 of each year. Transmission Service Provider Receives notification via SharePoint workflow of new CBM value. If new CBM value does not match the current CBMID document, update the CBMID document and make available to adjacent TOPs, TSPs, RC, TPs, RPs, PCs and to BAs within TSPs area, in accordance with Requirement R2. Data Retention Idaho Power is required (at a minimum) to keep data or evidence to show compliance for MOD-004-1 Requirement R5 for the most recent three calendar years plus the current year.
