REQUEST NO. 3:What level of incremental annual DSM energy efficiency
savings did ldaho Power achieve in 2018? Please break the savings into residential
and small general service components and provide relevant workpapers.
RESPONSE TO REQUEST NO. 3: ldaho Power achieved 183,378 megawatt-
hours ('MWh') of incremental annual demand-side management ("DSM') energy
efficiency savings in 2018. 158,412 MWh from ldaho Power's energy efficiency
programs and an estimated 24,966 MWh in Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance
('NEEA') market transformation savings.
The ldaho residential savings from programs administered by Idaho Power for
2018 is 42,323 MWh and the energy savings specific to ldaho small genera! service
participants is 1,817 MWh.
The system-wide market transformation savings from programs and initiatives
administered by NEEA are estimated each year by NEEA prior to issuing final year-end
reports. The ldaho allocation of NEEA net market effect savings across residential and
commercia! classes lor2018 is 22,531 MWh, comprised of 15,315 MWh of residential
savings and 7,216 MWh of commercial savings. The net market effect savings
estimates provided by NEEA include small general service savings with the commercial
savings. ldaho Power is unable to distinguish the small general service savings from
the total commercial savings.
The DSM 2018 Annual Report, available on-line via the following link
www.idahopower.com/enerqyefficiency/reports.cfm, contains jurisdiction-level breakouts
of savings in Appendix 4. !n addition, a copy is provided on the enclosed CD.
