COMES NOW, ldaho Power Company ("!daho Power" or "Company"), and in
response to the Fourth Production Request of Kiki Leslie A. Tidwell to ldaho Power
Company dated June 12,2017, herewith submits the following information:
IDAHO POWER COMPANY'S RESPONSE TO THE
FOURTH PRODUCTION REQUEST OF KIKI LESLIE A. TIDWELL - 1
REQUEST FOR PRODUCTION NO. 59: ln the event a redundant line to the
North Valley, for whatever reason, is not approved what are the Company's plans to
rebuild/replace/repair the existing Wood River transmission line from the Wood River
Transmission Station in Hailey to the Ketchum/Sun Valley area. Please include in your
answer a proposed timeline, budget and construction details.
RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR. PRODUCTION NO. 59: As stated in the Direct
Testimony of David M. Angell, even if a redundant transmission line to the North Valley
is not approved, the Transmission Design Department has determined that the existing
transmission line requires reconstruction. See Angell Dl, pp. 21-23. However, the
reconstruction of the existing line would not eliminate the need for a redundant
transmission !ine. Without another source of energy into the North Valley, the
reconstruction of the existing radial line would have its own significant challenges. The
Company would strive to rebuild the existing radial line in the existing right-of-way.
Idaho Power has not yet established a timeline, budget, or construction details
for the reconstruction of the existing 138 kilovolt ('kV') transmission line. Please see
the Company's response to Sierra Club's Request for Production No. 1.

REOUEST FOR DUCTION NO. 60:ln the event a redundant line to the
North valley is approved what are the Company's plans to rebuild lreplacelrepair the
existing Wood River transmission line from the Wood River Transmission Station in
Hailey to the Ketchum/Sun Valley area. Please include in your answer a proposed
timeline, budget and construction details.
RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR PRODUCTION NO. 60: As stated in the Direct
Testimony of David M. Angell, even if a redundant transmission line to the North Valley
is approved, the construction of the redundant 138 kV Iine does not eliminate the need
to reconstruct the existing line. See Angell Dl, p. 23. The reconstruction of the existing
line must be done regardless. However, with the construction of the redundant source,
the reconstruction of the existing line can be done with little to no disruption of service.
The new redundant line can meet the North Valley's electrical needs during the time
when the existing line is taken out of service for reconstruction.
ldaho Power has not yet established a timeline, budget, or construction details
for the reconstruction of the existing 138 kV transmission line. Please see the
Company's response to Sierra Club's Request for Production No. 1.
