I know many demands are placed on your time and I appreciate your willingness to participate in this important project. Idaho Power is responding to growth and changes in the Wood River Valley with the Wood River Electrical Plan, a forward looking plan that will ensure sufficient and reliable power for the Valley from now through Valley buildout. As a member of the Community Advisory Committee you will be given as much freedom as possible to propose ideas and solutions that will meet the Valley’s power supply needs. The Community Advisory Committee is expected to meet approximately six times, ending in June of 2007. The WREP project team is committed to using your time wisely. We will hold only necessary meetings and will make every effort to end meetings at the scheduled time. We expect meetings to last from two to four hours and will include lunch or breakfast. The schedule for future meetings will be discussed at the first Advisory Committee meeting. Our first meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 18 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will begin at Idaho Power’s Wood River Operations Center located in Hailey at 11831 Highway 75 South (about a mile north of Albertsons on the east side of the highway). This meeting is a bit long because it will include a bus tour of electrical energy sites that are part of the power supply system for the Wood River Valley. A light breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided. Please dress warmly and comfortably since we will spend 15 to 30 minutes outside the bus at each energy facility. You will be contacted by one of our team members in the next couple of weeks to confirm your attendance and answer any questions. If you have any questions prior, please contact me at 208-388- 3210, our facilitator, Mike Pepper at 208-734-6208 or our project leader, Kent McCarthy at 208-388- 2565. Sincerely, Dan Olmstead Community Relations Representative Idaho Power Company
