THE COMMISSION STAFF
COMES NOW, ldaho Power Company, and in response to the First Production
Request of the Commission Staff to ldaho Power Company dated August 4, 2015,
herewith submits the following information:
IDAHO POWER COMPANY'S RESPONSE TO THE FIRST
PRODUCTION REQUEST OF THE COMMISSION STAFF - 1
REQUEST NO. 1: Please provide an estimate of both the S-year and the
2O-year levelized avoided eosts that would be offered to Site Based Energy if its
proposed prcject was considered a single project under the IRP Methodology. For
purposes of the estimate, please assume a location in the calculation queue that
reflects the timing of Site Based Energy's proposal and the indicative price requests by
other proposed projects that may be earlier in the queue.
RESPONSE TO REQUEST NO. 1: lntegrated Resource Plan ('lRP") based
indicative prices have not been calculated for the ten 100 kilowatt Site Based Energy
LLC proposed projects or a cumulative 1 megawatt project. The S-year and 2O-year
levelized avoided costs based upon the IRP Methodology for a recently proposed
project, immediately prior to the Site Based Energy LLC project requests, with an
estimated on-line date of 2017 were calculated to be $33.49/megawatt-hour and
$51 .221 megawatt-hour, respectively.
