IPC-E-15-06 IDAHO POWER COMPANY'S RESPONSE TO THE FIRST PRODUCTION REQUEST OF THE COMMISSION STAFF TO IDAHO POWER COMPANY COMES NOW, ldaho Power Company ("ldaho Powe/' or "Comp?ry"), and in response to the First Production Request of the Commission Staff to ldaho Power Company dated April 10, 2015, herewith submits the following information: IDAHO POWER COMPANY'S RESPONSE TO THE FIRST PRODUCTION REOUEST OF THE COMMISSION STAFF TO IDAHO POWER COMPANY - 1 REQUEST NO. 1: Please provide a list of all expenses charged to the demand- side management (DSM) tariff rider during 2014. Please include date, vendor, amount, a brief description of the expense, and the account to which the charges were booked. Please separate all expenses by program so that expenditures provided reconcile with the amounts Iisted in the Company's 2014 DSM Annua! Report. Please also identify if each expense is an incentive payment, purchased service, labor/administrative, materials and equipment, or other expense. Please provide the requested information in Excel format with all formulas intact. RESPONSE TO REQUEST NO. 1: The requested information is voluminous, proprietary, and confidential. lt will be made available for audit pursuant to ldaho Code S 61-610 and Rule of Procedure 227 (IDAPA 31.01 .01.227) at Idaho Power's corporate headquarters. IDAHO POWER COMPANY'S RESPONSE TO THE FIRST PRODUCTION REQUEST OF THE COMMISSION STAFF TO IDAHO POWER COMPANY - 5 REQUEST NO. 5: Please provide the cost-effectiveness work papers and calculations for each DSM program in 2014 in Excel format with all formulas intact. IDAHO POWER COMPANY'S RESPONSE TO THE FIRST PRODUCTION REQUEST OF THE COMMISSION STAFF TO IDAHO POWER COMPANY - 6 REQUEST NO. 6: On Page 10 of the DSM Annual Report, it states that 18 new ideas were introduced to the Program Planning Group, of which three were identified as viable offerings. PIease provide a list and explanation of all 18 measures/ideas introduced to the Group and identify the three viable offerings. RESPONSE TO REQUEST NO. 6: As stated on page 10 of ldaho Power's Demand-Side Management 2014 Annual Report, the three ideas that were identified as viable offerings are: They are Single-Family Home Duct Sealing, which is prescriptive duct- sealing for heat pumps and electric resistance heated homes; Residential Electronically Commutated Motor (ECM), which is the more efficient replacement for a failed permanent split capacitor (PSC) motors with ECMs in forced-air systems; and a Residential Whole House Fan Pilot, which is the installation of a whole house fan between a home's attic and the conditioned space that displaces forced air and zonal direct expansion cooling. The other 15 ideas that were introduced tn 2014 are listed in the table below.
