COMES NOW, Idaho Power Company, and in response to the First Production
Request of the Commission Staff to Idaho Power Company dated August 21, 2012,
herewith submits the following information:
REQUEST NO. 1: For each of the six wind Qualifying Facilities (QF) included in
the proposed Settlement of these cases (Notch Butte, Lava Beds, Rogerson Flats,
Salmon Creek, Cottonwood and Deep Creek), please calculate what Idaho Power
would have paid to each QF for the twenty (20) years of each approved power purchase
Agreement (PPAs) if the QF projects were constructed and operating in conformance
with their respective PPAs.

ASSUMPTIONS
September 1, 2012, assumed to be the on-line date for all projects.
Monthly energy estimates directly from contract-estimated generation in paragraph 6.2.1 of
each contract.
Net Energy Pricing
Rogerson Flats Applied the seasonal all hours energy prices contained in
Salmon Creek paragraph 7.3 of each contract.
Cottonwood
Deep Creek
Notch Butte Prices contained in paragraph 7.1 of each Firm Energy Sales
Lava Beds Agreement were only listed through 2026. These prices were
in accordance with Idaho Public Utilities Commission
("Commission") Order No. 29646. Commission Order No.
29646 contained prices through 2029; these prices were
applied to each contract. In addition, to provide pricing for the
full 20-year term (assumed on-line date of September 2012),
the 2029 price was escalated at 2.3 percent per year for the
years 2030, 2031, 2032, and 2033. Two point three percent is
the average annual calculated escalation rate for the years
2026-2029.
The response to this Request was prepared by Randy C. Aliphin, Senior Energy
Contract Coordinator, Idaho Power Company, in consultation with Donovan E. Walker,
Lead Counsel, Idaho Power Company.
