REQUEST OF THE
COMMISSION STAFF TO
IDAHO POWER COMPANY
The Staff of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, by and through its attorney of record,
Karl T. Klein, Deputy Attorney General, requests that Idaho Power Company (Company; IPC)
provide the following documents and information as soon as possible, by MONDAY, MAY 14,
2012.
This Production Request is to be considered as continuing, and the Company is requested
to provide, by way of supplementary responses, additional documents that it or any person acting
on its behalf may later obtain that will augment the documents or information produced.
Please provide answers to each question, supporting workpapers that provide detail or are
the source of information used in calculations, and the name, job title and telephone number of
the person preparing the documents. Please identify the name, job title, location and telephone
number of the record holder.
FIRST PRODUCTION REQUEST
TO IDAHO POWER COMPANY 1 APRIL 30, 2012
In addition to the written copies provided as response to the requests, please provide all
Excel and electronic files on CD with formulas activated.
REQUEST NO. 1: Please provide a complete listing of all expenses charged to the
DSM tariff rider during 2011. Please include date, vender, amount, a brief description of the
expense, and the account to which the charges were booked. Please separate all expenses by
program so that the expenditures provided reconcile with the amounts reported in the 2011 DSM
Annual Report. If any amounts are allocated among different programs or jurisdictions, please
illustrate the allocation method. Please also identify if each expense is an incentive payment,
purchased service, labor/administrative, or materials and other expense. Please provide the
requested information in Excel format.
REQUEST NO. 2: Please provide the total amount of wages for Idaho Power Company
employees included in the DSM tariff rider for the years 2005-2011.
REQUEST NO. 3: Please provide the number of Idaho Power full time employees or
full time equivalents paid from the DSM rider funds for the years 2005-2011.
REQUEST NO. 4: Please provide all DSM evaluation expenses for 2011, including
date, vendor, and amount.
REQUEST NO. 5: Please describe the process used in selecting a vendor for program
evaluation.
REQUEST NO. 6: Please provide the cost effectiveness work papers and calculations
for each DSM program in Excel format with all formulas intact.
