IDAHO POWER COMPANY'S
RESPONSE TO THE FIRST
PRODUCTION REQUEST OF THE
COMMISSION STAFF TO IDAHO
POWER COMPANY
COMES NOW, Idaho Power Company ("Idaho Power"), and in response to the
First Production Request of the Commission Staff to Idaho Power Company dated April
30, 2012, herewith submits the following information:
IDAHO POWER COMPANY'S RESPONSE TO THE FIRST PRODUCTION
REQUEST OF THE COMMISSION STAFF TO IDAHO POWER COMPANY -1
REQUEST NO. 1: Please provide a complete listing of all expenses charged to
the DSM tariff rider during 2011. Please include date, vender, amount, a brief
description of the expense, and the account to which the charges were booked. Please
separate all expenses by program so that the expenditures provided reconcile with the
amounts reported in the 2011 DSM Annual Report. If any amounts are allocated among
different programs or jurisdictions, please illustrate the allocation method. Please also
identify if each expense is an incentive payment, purchased service,
labor/administrative, or materials and other expense. Please provide the requested
information in Excel format.
RESPONSE TO REQUEST NO. 1: The requested information is voluminous,
proprietary, and confidential. It will be made available for the Idaho Public Utilities
Commission Staff to audit pursuant to Idaho Code § 61-610 and Rule of Procedure 227
(IDAPA 31.01.01.227) at Idaho Power's corporate headquarters. Please contact Doug
Jones at (208) 388-2615 or Camilla Victoria at (208) 388-5821 to arrange a time to
review the requested material.
It should be noted that Idaho Power discovered that two customer incentives for
Oregon customers, paid through the Home Improvement Program, were inadvertently
charged to the Idaho Energy Efficiency Rider ("Rider") in 2011. Subsequent to filing the
Application in this case, Idaho Power has removed payments of $210 and $135 (totaling
$345) to Oregon customers from the Idaho Rider in 2012.
The response to this Request was prepared by Pete Pengilly, Customer
Research and Analysis Leader, Customer Operations, Idaho Power Company, in
consultation with Julia A. Hilton, Corporate Counsel, Idaho Power Company.
