SECOND PRODUCTION
REQUEST OF THE
COMMISSION STAFF TO IDAHO
POWER COMPANY
The Staff of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, by and through its attorney of record,
Donald L. Howell, II, Deputy Attorney General, requests that Idaho Power Company (Company;
IPC) provide the following documents and information as soon as possible, but no later than
THURSDAY, MAY 10, 2012.
This Production Request is to be considered as continuing, and Idaho Power Company is
requested to provide, by way of supplementary responses, additional documents that it or any person
acting on its behalf may later obtain that will augment the documents or information produced.
Please provide answers to each question, supporting workpapers that provide detail or are the
source of information used in calculations, and the name, job title and telephone number of the
person preparing the documents. Please identify the name, job title, location and telephone number
of the record holder.
In addition to the written copies provided as response to the requests, please provide all Excel
and electronic files on CD with formulas activated.

Request No. 18: Please provide workpapers and other underlying documentation that
substantiate the known and measurable plant costs contained within the Company's filing. Include
within your response the actual costs to date by work order number/project ID, the date by which the
work orders closed to plant, and any contributions and/or advances associated with the projects (if
any). This should be provided on a CD in Excel format with formulas intact.
Request No. 19: If not provided in response to the previous Request No. 18, please provide
a schedule of Langley Gulch plant expenditures posted by amount, date, document number, account
number and type of expenditure (vendor payment, AFUDC, payroll, benefits, and the like). This
should be provided on a CD in Excel format with formulas intact.
Request No. 20: Please provide copies of all contracts, change orders, invoices and other
supporting documentation for all Langley Gulch plant and operating expenditures. Please
correlate these with the response to the previous Request Nos. 18 and 19.
Request No. 21: Please update Exhibit No. 2 estimates with actual amounts through
March 31, 2012 and when available, through April 30, 2012. Please provide on a CD in Excel
format with formulas intact.
Request No. 22: Please provide all the documentation supporting the calculation of
deferred income taxes contained within Exhibit No. 3. Please include within your response a
description of the calculation to include the documentation of the underlying components of the
calculation. Please provide all calculations on a CD in Excel format with formulas intact.
Request No. 23: Please provide all the documentation supporting the calculation of the
investment tax credit contained within Exhibit No. 3. Please include within your response a
description of the calculation to include the documentation of the underlying components of the
calculation. Please provide all calculations on a CD in Excel format with formulas intact.

associated with Langley Gulch plant expenditures through April 30, 2012. Please include within

components of the calculation. Please provide all calculations on a CD in Excel format with
formulas intact.
