IPC-E-10-25 IDAHO POWER COMPANY'S RESPONSE TO THE FOURTH PRODUCTION REQUEST OF THE COMMISSION STAFF TO IDAHO POWER COMPANY COMES NOW, Idaho Power Company ("Idaho Powet' or "Company"), and in response to the Fourth Production Request of the Commission Staff to Idaho Power Company dated March 17, 2011, herewith submits the following information: IDAHO POWER COMPANY'S RESPONSE TO THE FOURTH PRODUCTION REQUEST OF THE COMMISSION STAFF TO IDAHO POWER COMPANY - 1 REQUEST NO. 38: Please explain why projected contributions were only calculated for a 9-year period in the Supplemental Report and not a longer time period. RESPONSE TO REQUEST NO. 38: The model that the actuary utilzes does not currently generate actuarial projections, including contribution projections beyond ten years. The most recent formal actuarial valuation for Idaho Power's pension plan is the 2010 valuation; thus the Company has projections for the ten-year period 2010- 2019. Since 2010 now represents an historical number, the Company ilustrated forward projections for the future nine-year period 2011-2019. The response to this Request was prepared by Ron Meyers, Pension and Investment Administrator, Idaho Power Company, in consultation with Lisa D. Nordstrom, Lead Counsel, Idaho Power Company. IDAHO POWER COMPANY'S RESPONSE TO THE FOURTH PRODUCTION REQUEST OF THE COMMISSION STAFF TO IDAHO POWER COMPANY - 2 REQUEST NO. 39: Please provide complete company census data for 2010 including employee identification, date of birth, date of hire, date of termination, date of re-hire, date of re-termination, wages paid (inclusive of bonuses), 401 (k) deferrals, and 401 (m) matching contributions for each employee who received wages from Idaho Power or IdaCorp during 2010. Please provide this information in Excel format. RESPONSE TO REQUEST NO. 39: Idaho Power objects to providing this highly confidential employee-specific information in the manner and format requested. The response to this Request was prepared by Lisa D. Nordstrom, Lead Counsel, Idaho Power Company. IDAHO POWER COMPANY'S RESPONSE TO THE FOURTH PRODUCTION REQUEST OF THE COMMISSION STAFF TO IDAHO POWER COMPANY - 3 REQUEST NO. 40: Please provide all information provided to Millman, Inc. during 2010, including but not limited to, the requested information listed in the previous question. The e-mail sent by Ron Meyers on January 27, 2011, included an Excel file, which is also being provided electronically. Please note that the Company is excluding from its response information provided to Miliman, Inc., relating to other plans, such as medical, dental, or long-term disabilty benefits. Additionally, Idaho Power provided participant- specific information including demographic-, employment-, benefit-, and compensation- related data for current and former employees; long-term disability recipients; and former spouses eligible for benefits under Qualified Domestic Relations Orders.
