REQUEST NO.1: Please supply the data and any documentation supporting the data
used to create the charts in Exhibit 204, pages 1 and 2.
RESPONSE: This data was taken over a period of time from the Wall Street Journal.
During this period of time the Wall Street Joumal provided this data free of charge; they
have since stopped providing the data without a charge. Dr. Reading would periodically
pull the data from the Wall Street Journal and enter it into an Excel spreadsheet. See
Attached.

prices in the secondary market have not been as high as they predicted." Please

support the accuracy of that testimony.
RESPONSE: See the quote on page 10, lines 1-, and Exhibit 204. The quote states
that Idaho Power expected prices to be $350 per MWh through March of 2002.
ICIP'S ANSWER TO IPCo FIRST INTERROGATORIES AND REQUEST FOR PRODUCTION
REQUEST NO.6: On page 5 of Dr. Reading s testimony, he states that "The variable
costs of the power production from Danskin have varied between 60.2 cents per kWh in
2001 and 29.7 cents per kWh in 2002". Please identify each component of variable
cost, used to compute the 60.2 cents per kWh and the 29.7 cents per kWh amounts
cited by Dr. Reading.
RESPONSE: The values listed were for the full costs including capital. These values
are incorrect given the meaning of the statement. The correct values for variable
running cost should have been those found in Idaho Power's FERC Form 1 for the
years 2001 and 2002. The sentence should be read
, "
The variable costs of the power
production from Danskin have varied between $0.1678 cents per kWh in 2001 and
$0.1185 cents per kWh in 2002". These values can be found on line 34, page 403
