TO IDAHO POWER COMPANY
The Staff of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, by and through its attorney of record
Lisa Nordstrom, Deputy Attorney General, requests that Idaho Power Company (Idaho Power;
Company) provide the following documents and information on or before WEDNESDAY
NOVEMBER 26, 2003.
The Company is reminded that responses pursuant to Commission Rules of Procedure
must include the name and phone number of the person preparing the document, and the name
location and phone number of the record holder. Reference IDAP A 31.01.01.228.
This Production Request is to be considered as continuing, and Idaho Power is requested
to provide, by way of supplementary responses, additional documents that it or any person acting
on its behalf may later obtain that will augment the documents produced.
Please provide answers to each question, supporting workpapers that provide detail or are
the source of information used in calculations, and the name and telephone number of the person

preparing the documents. Please identify the name, location and telephone number of the record
holder.
For each item, please indicate the name of the person(s) preparing the answers, along
with the job title of such person( s) and the witness who can sponsor the answer at hearing if need
be.
Request No.1: Please provide a narrative description of the analysis performed to
determine normalized test year power supply expenses and revenues.
Request No.2: Please provide all input data sets in electronic format used to make the
two Aurora model runs that produced the results contained in Company Exhibits 32 and 33.
Also provide any macros, spreadsheets or other executable code used to compile input or output
data or to run the model or associated spreadsheets. All spreadsheets should be in Excel 2000
format.
Request No.3: Please provide a narrative description of the weather normalization
performed to determine normalized test year loads used in power supply modeling and in rate
design as energy billing determinants. Please include a copy of the load research study used by
the Company and all spreadsheets, data, output or other analysis used in the normalization
process. Cite the source of the input data and list any assumptions used in the analysis. All
spreadsheets should be in Excel 2000 format. If the model used is not an Excel Spreadsheet
model, please provide a copy of all input, output and intermediate results.
Request No.4: For Company Exhibits 30 through 61 , A-5 and A-, please provide all
spreadsheet exhibits in Excel 2000 format. These should include but not be limited to the
executable Jurisdictional Separations Study, the Class Cost of Service Study and the rate design
spreadsheet models used by the Company.
