COMES NOW, Idaho Power Company (“Idaho Power” or “the Company”),
and in response to Request No. 1 of the First Production Request of the Commission
Staff dated August 13, 2001, herewith submits the following information:
REQUEST NO. 1: Appendix 4 to the Company’s Compliance Filing
contains a summary of a customer survey. Please provide the details of this survey,
including the number of customers surveyed, the number responding, how survey
participants were chosen, the questions asked, a complete summary of responses to
each question, any statistical analysis of confidence intervals and significance levels,
and any other relevant details.

RESPONSE TO REQUEST NO. 1: Due to the volume of material, the
Company has supplied one copy of the requested information to the Commission Staff,
has lodged a copy with the Commission Secretary, and will make one copy available for
inspection at the Corporate Headquarters of Idaho Power Company at 1221 West
Idaho Street, Boise, Idaho. Requests to review the material at the Corporate
Headquarters should be accomplished by contacting in advance Betsy Galtney,
Regulatory Affairs Representative, Phone: [phone], who will make the information
available during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until
5:00 p.m.
