Notice of Settlement Conference

Dear Parties of Record:

In an effort to continue narrowing issues in dispute and explore the possibility of settling other
issues, Commission Staff and Idaho Power plan to meet on Thursday, August 16, 2001 at 9
a.m. in the Commission Hearing Room to engage in further settlement discussions. Pursuant
to Commission Procedural Rule 272, this letter is to advise all parties of the August 16
settlement meeting and to inform parties that they may attend the meeting.

At the settlement meeting, parties will seek to determine if any areas of agreement exist in either
the historical -7/11 case or in the prospective -16 case. Commission Staff expert Tom Lord and
Idaho Power expert Tim Simard will be present to further explain the positions taken in their
respective testimony and respond to potential settlement options.
