The Staff of the Idaho Public Utilties Commission, by and through its attorney of record,
Scott Woodbury, Deputy Attorney General, requests that Avista Corporation (Company; Avista)
provide the following documents and information as soon as possible, but no later than
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 2010. Documentation and information provided that is marked
confidential wil be segregated by utility and reviewed only by Staff.
This Production Request is to be considered as continuing, and A vista is requested to
provide, by way of supplementar responses, additional documents that it or any person acting
on its behalf may later obtain that wil augment the documents produced.
For each item, please indicate the name of the person(s) preparing the answers, along
with the job title of such person(s) and the witness who can sponsor the answer at hearing. In

addition to the written copies provided as response to the questions, please provide all Excel and
electronic files on CD with formulas activated and operationaL.
REQUEST NO.1: Please provide documentation or evidence showing the cost of wind
generated energy offered to A vista by the top three raned proposals submitted in response to the
2009 Wind RFP. Please list the cost by year for each year of the proposed contract term. For
each project, please indicate whether the costs are inclusive of utilty ownership of all
environmental attributes or renewable energy credits.
