Pursuant to our earlier conversation, the Idaho Public Utilities Commission is interested in
joining the amicus parties in opposing the petitions for rehearing in the above referenced case. I
am also providing you with suggested additions to the text of the brief or motion (pages 4, 7, 11,
12, 13). In particular, my suggestions to the motion (page 4) are to clarify that Idaho has not and
does not at this time intend to introduce retail competition. We recognize that other states have
introduced competition.
