Wood Pole Management inspects and maintains Avista’s poles on a 20 year cycle. The major drivers are
system reliability, improved cost performance, reduced outages safely, responsibly, & affordably.
WPM Updates
•In-house Crews working on WAL542, GRA12F2, SPT4S30,
l&S12F4
•20 year cycle being accelerated in 2021 to accommodate the
Grid Hardening Efforts
•WPM will complete LTF34F1, PIN441 & GRA12F2-SEC2 under the
GH Budget
•Slowing inspections down because the inspection rate is 1.7
years ahead of the follow-up completion rate.
